Disclaimer

MoodTape measures the sentiment of publicly available news headlines using automated software and AI. It is provided for information and education only.

• MoodTape is not investment advice, research, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, and nothing on the site should be read that way.
• We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst, or a registered adviser in any other country.
• Sentiment scores can be wrong. Headlines can be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Past sentiment does not predict future prices.
• Trading and investing carry risk, including loss of capital. Do your own research and consult a registered adviser before making decisions.

Terms of service

Using MoodTape

You may use MoodTape for your own personal or internal business purposes. You must not resell raw data from the service, scrape it at scale, attack or overload it, or use it for anything unlawful.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account and API keys. Tell us at once if you think your account or key has been misused.

Plans and billing

Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Manage billing; you keep paid features until the end of the current period. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice.

Third-party content

Headlines and links belong to their publishers. MoodTape shows headlines and links to the original source and does not reproduce full articles.

No warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will post the new version here. These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY / STATE], and disputes go to the courts of [CITY].

Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, plan, watchlist and usage counts.
• Payment data: handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID, never your card number.
• Content you add: headlines you paste or upload stay in your browser. When you use AI features, the headlines involved are sent to our AI provider to produce the result.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept for security and debugging.

Who processes it

Supabase (sign-in and database), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), and our AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI). Each processes data only to provide its service.

Your choices

You can export or delete your account data by emailing [SUPPORT EMAIL]. Browser data can be cleared from your browser settings. We do not sell personal data and do not use advertising trackers.

Refund policy

If you are not happy with Pro, email [SUPPORT EMAIL] within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund. Renewals are not refunded, but you can cancel anytime to stop the next charge.
